Andy Sandwich is your Friendly Neighbourhood Motion-Man. A motion designer/animator who’s very into small details, big feelings, and thoughtful motion made with care.
Now freelance, Andy previously led creative studio Hungry Sandwich Club, where he and his team spent over a decade creating meaningful work for brands like Instagram, Belvedere, Adidas, and Mastercard, and bringing heartfelt stories to life for institutions including The Hepworth, the People’s History Museum, and the BBC.

Breaking down real animation workflow, practical techniques, go-to plugins, and the guides that helped him level up.
A personal reflection on Andy’s time in the industry as he transitions from studio to freelance… what's changed and what's next!
Drawing on his collaborations with Small Fry's own Maisy Summer, he'll walk through both sides of a real illustrator–animator project - from initial brief to finished film. Including working with both digital and hand-drawn illustrations. Other illustrator collaborations include Hattie Clark, Jay Cover & Matt Blease.
How to think about motion while you're illustrating. Expect practical tips on collaborating with animators, how to prepare your files the right way (and what to avoid), alongside a look at must-have animation resources and processes.
